HUGE Rumour: Aladdin 360 Xbox Mod - Boots Unsigned Code...

 

We've come across a supposed new 'modchip' for the Xbox 360, called the Aladddin 360 which is for any Samsung 360 drive. The most interesting part is that it says it has TWO modes, one is for original and online games and another for backups/imports and UNSIGNED code. A modding store is currently taking pre-orders for this at $98.74, they have the complete specs, a pic and say stock will be arriving soon. We're not too sure on this one, the way it says it can boot unsigned code but attacks the DVD drive firmware only makes this possibility doubtful...

GaryOPA has released a new version of the previous 'XTRM-HITACHI-ALL-V1' -but this release has an updated flash.bat and is compatible with v32 firmwares.

Installation:

 

1. - Extract the archive to your hard drive

 

2.- Insert your USB Stick

 

3. - Format your USB Stick with the HP Usb Disk Storage Format Tool included (HPUSBFW.EXE), select FAT32 and "Create a DOS Startup Disk"

using the files included in the folder. Check the Pictures folder for visual assistance!

 

4. - Copy the contents of the archive to the root directory of your USB Stick (if space is a issue, or you are using a

floppy, simply copy the autoexec.bat and firmware + command folders over. If you know which card you have, you may

copy only the neccessary folder within the firmware folder, e.g. Via or Nforce4.)

 

5. -Run Bios Agent to find your chipset (see pictures folder)

 

6. - Adjust Your BIOS Settings to boot from the USB Stick

 

7. - Boot to your USB Stick

 

8. - run autoexec.bat to start.

 

Sidenote - Those of you who wish to utilize these tools on a floppy may skip all the instructions, and just copy over the neccessary autoexec.bat,

command folder, and needed firmware folder over.

is based on the xtreme_legal_patcher patches the firmware to c4e's hack, without messing with any of the key's. No more botched firmwares

and headache's for those of you trying to figure out 'what went wrong'

Birdy released a v1.2 firmware for the Hitachi-LG GDR-3120L v46D based on Commodore4Eva's Hitachi-LG v1.1 FW on the XBH forums:

This is a tweak of the orginial Commodore4Eva Xtreme firmware v1.1

It include 3 tweak:

 

* 1: Mode B tweak

If you start your Xbox with tray opened, the hitachis start in ModeB.

Start your xbox, open the tray.

Now power off your xbox by disconnecting power supply.

Start again your xbox, your drive is in ModeB .

Easy ;-)

 

* 2: Tray open/close in ModeB (without adapter, hitachi on power supply from xbox).

Correct the open/close tray faulty operation when your drive is in modeb with Windows.

Now in modeB you can use your drive without problem.

 

* 3: Dashboard TimeOut tweak with DVD DL ;-)

During disk recognition, this tweak fake the open/close function. If your disc are not recognized yet and you received the "Open tray" from dashboard.

Press the eject button -> xbox say opening but tray stay closed.

Press again the eject button -> xbox say "closing" -- "reading disc"

No more timeout!!

 

Note that the modified FW is currently ONLY for the Hitachi-LG with FW v46D.
