Rumors From Japan

 

The Japanese magazine Game Labo share with us some juicy information on Xbox 360 in its section devoted to rumors.

 

- Microsoft will unveil a new,still-unknown JRPG for the general public soon.

 

- Approximately 10 new titles from small and medium developers will be announced during the first quarter of 2007.

 

- Square Enix is developing two new titles for Xbox 360, one from Square and one from Enix. There will be new a RPG from a third developer.

 

- The development of the games of Mizuguchi and Okamoto are advancing well.

 

- Power Pro Baseball will unload on Xbox 360 early next year and will have a mode of online play.

 

- Two or three new Namco Bandai games will be announced on Xbox 360 in the coming year.

Just had a conversation with one of our buying team and it seems PES6 on 360 has dissapointed accross the board.

 

Sales of the game have been awful. The main problem is that being a PES game, retailers and Konami themselves expected it to fly off the shelves. This meant a) Konami made a shitload and retailers bought a shitload too!

 

With lack of sales it means you can know walk into a Virgin/HMV store and find the game in the 'buy one get one free' range, under 2 months after it was released! It shows that word of mouth does spread, and the public are aware of how poor the 360 version really is.

 

Personally I think its great, as Seabass/Konami have learnt their lesson. Hopefully we wont see this rubbish appear again.

 

Play have had it at 25 quid for a couple of weeks now, and sure Game are selling it at under 30 quid, which is funny seeing ti was worth 30 as a trade in a couple of weeks ago.

Capcom to Revamp Lost Planet Matchmaking

Feedback from fans means substantial patch on launch day.

 

So, what's changing? The Lobby and Matchmaking systems are seeing many, many changes:

Private slots can be set by host

Invite friends to a match

Number of players in a room will be displayed next to name of the room

Players will not be kicked all the way out to the main menu if they try to join a full game

New button allows players to refresh the match list without going out to the main menu and selecting Quick Match again

Players will now go to a post-game lobby at the end of a match, not kicked back to the main menu

The ability to replay a match with the same group without leaving the post-game lobby

Cycling maps on replayed matches when map selection is set to Random

Text size on the team selection screen will be greatly increased when using non-HD resolutions.

When manual team selection is set to ON, players will have 20 seconds to form teams.

The time limit on each match will be maxed out at 60 minutes, instead of the current unlimited time.

A player's custom match criteria will now be saved.

 

This is what we like to see from company patches -- not bug fixes weeks or months after launch.

απο φορουμ αποκλειστικα για pes το ειδα. Απο παιδια δλδ που λενε οτι η τιμη πεφτει αρκετα σε καταστηματα στην αγγλια. Εχουν κανα λογο να λενε μλκιες? Παντως 100% αξιοπιστο δεν ειναι. Αλλα το πιστευω οτι δε τραβαει σε πωλησεις. Εγω τουλαχιστον που καθε χρονο το αγοραζα , το 6 δε το πηρα...

οσο για το psychοnauts, χτες τραβηχτηκε απο τη λιστα των back-compatible games (οπως και το shenmue) στο site πριν να εχω την ευκαιρια να το δοκιμασω, οποτε εσυ θα εισαι ο τυχερος!
