Nintendo adds USB Keyboard support for Wii

 

The new Wii firmware update seems to have added USB keyboard support for the console. The feature itself was un-announced and only works in limited scenarios. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work on the internet browser but does work on the shop channel and message board. Hopefully they'll expand on this and who knows, perhaps mouse support will come along and give all Wii owners another way to browser and play.

Wii nearly UK's best seller

 

Currently the console is outselling the 360 in the UK by over four to one, and the PS3 by more than six to one each week. If it keeps it up, it should pass the GameCube's lifetime UK sales figure of just over a million by the end of September.
