Dead Space Coming to Wii

 

Speaking with investors on a conference call today, EA CEO John Ricitiello revealed that Redwood Shores' action-horror franchise Dead Space will be heading to the Wii.

 

The CEO was mum on the details, but noted that the title should retain the so-called fear factor of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 editions that arrived in the fall of 2008.

Καλά τα νέα (μάλλον) για το rune factory. To IGN του έχει αναλυτικό preview και δείχνει αν μη τι άλλο πολλά υποσχόμενο. Αντιγράφω μια από τις τελευταίες του φράσεις:

Virtua Tennis 2009 - Also Coming to the Wii

 

Wii owners will finally be able to take to the courts in the fan’s number one tennis game, boasting all the features and arcade action that has made Virtua Tennis the most critically acclaimed and best selling tennis series available. Virtua Tennis 2009 for Wii includes the same impressive player roster as Virtua Tennis 2009 on other platforms, meaning top stars such as Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Maria Sharapova and Venus Williams will all be in the game, as well as players new to the series such as Andy Murray and Ana Ivanovic. 'Οχι τόσο ενθαρρυντικά νέα: Το "Dead Space" για το Wii θα είναι on-rails shooter, δηλαδή σαν το RE: Umbrella Chronicles. Θα βγει φθινόπωρο 2009. Αλλά έτσι πιστεύω πως θα διαρκεί μονάχα 5-8 ώρες εφόσον δεν θα είναι καθαρόαιμο 3rd person action horror..

(NASDAQ: ERTS) today revealed Dead Space™ Extraction, an all-new chapter from the studio that delivered the award-winning action-horror Dead Space game. Built from the ground up and developed exclusively for the Wii™, Dead Space Extraction is a prequel that reveals the events leading up to Isaac Clarke’s mission on the USG Ishimura in the original Dead Space game released in 2008. Dead Space Extraction will marry the innovative motion controls of the Wii Remote with a frenetic first person perspective to create a new action-packed horror experience.

 

Dead Space Extraction tells the story of a handful of space colonists desperately struggling to escape from a horrific infection on the Aegis VII mining colony deep in the furthest regions of space. καλουτσικο το οβερκιλ, αλλα μακρια απο το τελειο. Καταρχας ειναι μικρο και ειναι και αρκετα ευκολο. Επισης ειναι λιγο μονοτονο, αλλα δεν παυει να ειναι διασκεδαστικο εστω και αν κανεις τα ιδια και τα ιδια. Εχει καλα γραφικα μεσα στο παιχνιδι, οσων αφορα τις εκρηξεις, αιμα, σκωτομους, κινηση, αλλα εχει και μερικα frame freezes. Δεν επηρεαζει το παιχνιδι. Τα βιντεακια λιγο μεγαλα και τιποτα σημαντικο, το μαιν στορυ ψιλοχαζο και over the top, αλλα ηθελημενα, απλα το παρακανουν με τις βρισιες και τα ενηλικα υπονουμενα, πχ λενε οτι ο κακος ειναι motherfucker κυριολεκτικα, τον δειχνει να φιλαει την γρια μανα του που θελει να αναζωογονησει και στο τελος που αυτη γινεται τερας και την σκωτονεις, παει και μπενει στην μητρα της!!

 

Λιγες πιστες, αμα εχεις φτιαξει τα οπλα σου ειναι σχετικα ευκολες και οι αρχηγοι δεν ειναι πολυ challenging. μετα εχει και το directors cut, αλλα η μονη διαφορα ειναι οτι εχει ποιο πολους εχθρους και δυσκολια, λενε επισης εξτρα περιοχες αλλα δεν το πολυ περνεις πρεφα, ειναι σαν να πεζεις το ιδιο σεναριο και ειναι ανουσιο.

 

Το διασκεδασα για τις λιγες ωρες που μου πειρε να το τελειωσο και δεν θα με χαλαει που και που να το ξαναπαιζω, αλλα δεν νομιζω οτι αξιζει τα λεφτα του. Για νοικιασμα η "νοικιασμα" ειναι μια χαρα. Το resident evil umbrella ειναι ποιο αποδοτικο/ικανοποιητικο σαν παιχνιδι

Όμορφο mini review συμφωνώ σχεδόν με όλα. Το μόνο που θέλω να προσθέσω είναι πως πέρα από το τεχνικό τομέα (με τα θετικά και αρνητικά του) ο τίτλος διακρίνεται ιδιαίτερα για το art direction του. Συγκεκριμένη αισθητική (b-movie κλπ), κινηματογραφικές αναφορές (πχ pulp fiction) ωραίο και απόλυτα ταιριαστό soundtrack και άλλες τέτοιες λεπτομέρειες δίνουν στο τίτλο επιπλέον πόντους και το ανεβάζουν ένα σκαλί παραπάνω από το επίπεδο ενός απλά καλού on rail shooter.
