THQ Inc. today announced that Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II, developed by the award-winning Real-time strategy developer, Relic Entertainment, has reached the gold master stage of development and is now entering manufacturing.

Dawn of War II Zero-Day Patch To Include New Multiplayer Maps

 

Apparently, Dawn of War II ships with just five multiplayer maps. Relic, however, will be rectifying that with zero-day patchage:

 

We have extensive post-launch support planned, but before we talk about post-launch, I can shed some light on what we are planning pre-launch or at the very least, with our Day Zero update. We’ve already patched the Beta based on internal THQ developer feedback a week before it has even gone live to the public!

 

For Day Zero, we’re already making improvements to the game based on early feedback to ensure fans get the best possible experience. In addition, within the first week after launch, we’ll be adding two additional multiplayer maps to the game.

 

As for post-launch plans, we are extremely interested in working with Microsoft to offer several types of free and premium downloadable content through their Games for Windows - LIVE Marketplace. In fact, there may even be some DLC available during the first few weeks after the game’s released if everything goes to plan.

 

For long term support we’ve got planned scheduled patches and data updates through 2009 and beyond.

Θα αρχίσει απόψε στις 2 το βράδυ (είμαστε GMT+2) η beta.

Βέβαια με επιφύλαξη, αλλά θα μείνω ξύπνιος μέχρι τότε και θα αναφέρω.

Για τώρα είναι για όσους έχουν το Soulstorm (και έχουν κάνει activate game) στο Steam. Οπότε περιμένουμε εκεί να εμφανιστεί.

Την επόμενη εβδομάδα λένε ότι θα βγει στο Fileplanet για όλους (δεν έψαξα για official, οπότε το FP μπορεί να είναι ράδιο αρβύλα).

Όσοι λοιπόν έχετε το DOW: Soulstorm και Steam, αν δεν το έχετε κάνει, κάντε click στο games >> Activate Program on Steam και βάλτε το cd-key του Soulstorm σας.

 

Η beta είναι στην λίστα των παιχνιδιών κάτω κάτω. Βάζω για κατέβασμα και πάω για ύπνο. Το βλέπουμε αύριο.
