MechWarrior Online – Beta news next week, game will feature destructible trees

 

Piranha Games is working very hard to ensure MWO has servers in every major region, and they are also exploring an official option for VoIP at the moment.

 

Internal components of mechs will be destroyable, and both skins and cameo specs/patterns will be supported.

 

Unfortunately though, legs or arms cannot be blown off. Players will be able to do critical damage, meaning that the leg or arm can become useless and the mech will start limping. And no, Piranha Games will not release an SDK or Editor to the public.

 

Mechwarrior Online looks interesting and is powered by Crytek’s CryEngine 3. The game’s PC minimum requirements will be announced within the next couple of weeks.

Γιατί αν θυμάσαι στο 1ο "απαγορευμένο" βίντεο (με unreal engine), το χέρι του Atlas έφυγε μια χαρά μετά το PPC.

MechWarrior Online Early Access Starts July 17th

If you know you're going to jump into MechWarrior Online the second it becomes available, then you may want to check out its Operation Inception early access program. Two packages will be available for purchase starting June 19th, both granting access to MechWarrior Online on July 17th. The public release date has yet to be announced, so it's currently unclear how much earlier Operation Inception players get to play.

Το Artemis (για το οποίο είχε βγει το scrambled log message / teaser τις προάλλες) είναι τελικά ένα MW controller σε συνεργασία με την Razer.

 

Το περίεργο είναι ότι ΔΕΝ έχει 2 joysticks όπως τα παλιά steel battalion controllers. Και λέω περίεργο, γιατί τα περισσότερα mechs έχουν ανεξάρτητα χέρια, οπότε θέλουν 2 joysticks.
