linksys wag200g firmware failed

εχω το συγκεκριμενο ρουτερ εδω και 1.5 χρονο και μου κολησε σημερα στη διαδικασια του update με αποτελεσμα να ειναι νεκρο το power.δεν μπαινει στο 192.168.1.1 αλλα μπαινει σε οποια ip του δηλωσω δικια του.επαιξα με το tftp αλλα δεν μπορουσε να βρει τον σερβερ.εκανα και ρεσετ το μοντεμ απο το κουμπακι του τιποτα.καμια λυση?

Αν του έκανες soft reset, δηλαδή απλά πάτησες το reset, προσπάθησε να κάνεις ένα hard reset πατώντας για 5 δευτερόλεπτα το reset.

Έδωσες χειροκίνητες ip στον υπολογιστή σου ; Στο tftp για server βάζεις το 192.168.1.1 ; Στο πεδίο του password δοκίμασες εκτός από τον δικό σου και τον default password.

Δυσκολα τα πραγματα φιλε. θες uart καλωδιο και linux μηχανημα για να το επαναφερεις

* on Windows: new procedure by user “Kevlar”

 

0. disconnect the router from the mains and network

 

1. connect network cable between PC and WAG354 (preferably crossover) / straight through cable didnt work for me for some reason, the shorter the cable length the better, mind you my cable was 3m. plus the cable into the network port of PC and the first ethernet port of your router

 

2. configure your network card and router IP. Router IP should be 192.168.1.1 network card 192.168.1.2 be sure to set netmark 255.255.255.0 disconnect any other network devices you may have connected, ie wireless. a single network connection to the router is required.

 

2. download the approproate firmware you want to flash your router with in my situation i used: Neptune354-v0.2_WAG354GV1_AnnexA

 

3. extract the archive and copy upgrade_code.bin to the root of your C drive

 

4. open a command prompt Start > Run > type cmd then enter in the run box or from the Start menu > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt

 

5. type the following to change to the root of the C drive - CD C: you should have a prompt that looks like c:\>

 

6. type the following command - tftp -i 192.168.1.1 PUT upgrade_code.bin

 

7. do not hit enter at this stage, plug in the mains cable into the router, the power light starts flashing, hit enter on the keyboard to run the TFTP command in step 6. the timing has to be perfect, the router only has a small window where it will accept the flash, you may have to try this several times to get it right, once you get the message

Transfer successful: 3321912 bytes in 8 seconds, 415239 bytes/s well done, thats it. dont do anything, go grab yourself a coffee. leave the router to sort itself out for a few minutes

 

the power and wireless light should appear. good luck.

 

* Alternative procedure on Windows:

 

1. If you have a swich /hub, put it between the wag and your pc. Then unplug the router main

2. Get a surely working firmware, rename it upgrade_code.bin and put it on your desktop

3. Set your network card with a static ip 192.168.1.2 or whatever between 2 and 254 and netmask 255.255.255.0

4. Goto Start>Run and enter cmd

5. Enter

cd Desktop

6. Enter

tftp -i 192.168.1.1 PUT upgrade_code.bin

7. Hurry up plugging the router main.

8. If in 30 secs you dont get a positive answer, saying transfer was successful, press ctrl+c, unplug router and repeat from 5.

9. Wait until router reboots.

βρηκα αυτο αλλα δεν μου αναγνωριζει την ip οθτε την εντολη tftp.

τελικα επικοινωνησα με την 4νετ και θα γινει αντικατασταση του ρουτερ απο βδομαδα.

So, you're afraid you've bricked* your router. Don't worry, there are a number of things you can try to get your router working again before giving up and living with the fact that your router is now a paperweight.

* (A bricked router is a router that you can no longer communicate with through wireless or wired connections.)

 

Before you continue below, make sure you've first tried a hard reset to revive your router:

 

1. Disconnect the router from UTP cables (not the power cable).

2. Push reset button for 30 secs.

3. Without releasing reset button, disconnect power cord.

4. Hold the reset button for another 30 secs.

5. Replug the power cord.

6. Still hold the reset button for another 30 secs.

7. Release the reset button and give the router about 10 secs to resettle.

8. Disconnect power cord for another 10 secs and then reconnect.

9. All should be in default settings now.

Αυτο εδω, το εγραψες μονος σου, το εκανες να δεις αν δουλευει?

και που το βρισκω αυτο?

Θελει κολλητηρι, καλαι, να κολλησεις μια μια τις επαφες και φυσικα να το φτιαξεις μονος σου.

το εκανα αλλα τιποτα.αυριο παω για rma

δεν υπαρχουν ετοιμα καλωδια.πρεπει να βρεις ανταπτορα καταρχην απο Usb σε serial γιατι pc Με serial δυσκολο και μετα απο serial στην αλλη ακρη να βαλεις το κολλητιρι και να το φτιαξεις και αφου βρεις το Pinout πως πρεπει να παει.μονο για το wag354 ειχα δει να γινεται χωρις Uart.απλα το πετυχαινες την ωρα toy booting και του εστελνες το firmware αλλα ηταν με συγκεκριμενο application οχι απλα με tftp.
