Worked with creative labs support for a week to resolve for them to tell me I have a corrupt product. If that is the case they have a lot of them and should stop selling them based on reviews and forums. They then had me return it to Amazon rather then owning their issue. Now I see why sound cards and dacs are dying products with quality like this and for the ones that do buy we pay for it.

I spent weeks looking for a DAC on amazon that would pair well in terms of my beyerdynamic dt 990 pro and the uses I need. This included having great sound awareness in video games (like EFT) and also having an amazing music experience.

5 months later and I still hate myself to this day for not lisenting to the negative reviews on the software. This powerful dac is completely useless due to how horrible Sound Blaster Connect 2 is.
This is how my PC boot starts:
1) turn on computer
2) log in
3) plug in power to DAC
4) no audio at all
5) sound blaster connect 2 software freezes while attempting to 'detect device'
6) restart software
7) 40 mins later hear a click and the sound finally returns
8 ) lose sound 5 hours later and repeat steps 1-7

The best part is Creatives customer support does nothing and instead blames you LOL! Yes because the 100s of other people with the same issue also all have broken motherboard USBs, even if they are top tier boards.

I just cant give this product anymore stars untill this software is fixed, which by the looks of it is never; save your money and go buy a different DAC with software that isn't coded by a amauter.

Constantly disconnects...

When this thing works, it is awesome. Everything sounds good and it can get really loud. However, it constantly cuts out, and by "cut out" I mean complete audio loss. I don't know what's happening to it exactly, but the lights will stay on and I will just completely lose audio. The only fix is to disconnect the device, leave it disconnected for a little bit and then reconnect it and wait for Windows to pick it back up.. This is EXTREMELY annoying, especially since it is advertised as a GAMING DAC/AMP. I play COD at a high level and the device always seems to cut out at the worst times, which are in the middle of gunfights or when pushing enemies in a building, when you need audio the MOST. It's honestly so frustrating that I had to come and write this review, my first ever Amazon review.

This seems to be a major problem, because all the forums regarding this DAC/AMP have threads of this.. I also use Voicemeeter Banana virtual mixer to stream and if you lose audio because of the device, you have to literally restart both the device and Voicemeeter so it can pick it back up. And that puts you out of the game/stream for at least 5mins, which doesn't seem like much, but is an ETERNITY for gamers.

I really wish I could return this item, but alas I am out of Amazon's return window. Please if you're going to buy this DAC/AMP or any other device, make sure to do your due diligence and research if other people had problems before buying. I wish I had done that, because I would NOT have purchased this item if I had known about these problems.

Ναι, πάντα είχα θέμα με το software της creative, ούτε και στη g6 έχει διαφορά.

Κάνει μικρομαλακίες, άμα δε τρέξω τη βλακεία τον launcher δε βγάζει ήχο άμα ήταν όταν bootαρε στο realtek το output του ήχου. Ούτε το led αλλάζει στο χρώμα που θες (ή στη περίπτωση μου, off) άμα δε μπει στο πρόγραμμα αυτό.

Την εχω πανω απο 8 μηνες,αν δεν κανεις disable/καταργηση της onboard τοτε ενδεχεται καποιες φορες να μπλοκαρει το software της creative (connect 2).Στη δικια μου που το connect ανοιγει με τα windows κατευθειαν παιζει αριστα χωρις δυσλειτουργιες( μπορει καμια φορα να φαει καποιο κολλημα το λεντ της και να μην συμβαδιζει με τη ρυθμιση που εχω κανει στο προγραμμα της.Γενικα ειναι αριστη και οτι κολλημα τρωει ειναι θεμα software καθαρα.Και υπαρχει περιπτωση να μην καθεται καλα η συνδεση της σε καποια απο τις usb θυρες της motherboard,θελει απευθειας και οχι σε hub.

Το dac το εχω πανω απο ενα χρονο σε 2 μηχανηματα και ενα mac mini και δεν ειχα κανενα προβλημα ουτε και με το μικροφωνο ουτε με τα ακουστικα( DT 990 PRO 250oh και philips fidelio x2hr μαζι με boompro microphone).Δεν εχω κανει ουτε disable την onboard καρτα ηχου γιατι παιζω και με αυτην .Εχτες εβαλα και Dolby Vision στα windows 10 (μονο η onboard το παιζει ) και παιζουν ολα μια χαρα.Εαν δεν το εχετε να παρετε αυτο https://www.skroutz.gr/s/21228545/iFi-Audio-Zen-Dac.html που θα ειναι η επομενη αγορα μου που δεν θελει ουτε drivers ουτε τιποτα.

Την έχω περίπου 3 μήνες, (έχω και την onboard active) το μόνο που έχει κάνει 2 φορές μάλλον λόγω software είναι μετά το boot να μην ανάψει το led στο profile που την έχω. Έχει στρώσει απλά με ένα unplug της κάρτας.

Κατά την άλλα την τρέχω συνήθως στο direct και ο ήχος είναι άριστος (τουλάχιστον στα δικά μου αυτιά). Έχει τεράστια διαφορά με την on board στην οποία έβαλα στην αρχή τα Sennheiser 599.

Δεν είχα προσέξει τις διαστάσεις της, είναι πολύ μικρή και οτι δεν χρειάζεται εξωτερική τροφοδοσία (=Φορητότητα).Απο ότι διαβάζω, βελτιώνει τον ήχο ακόμα και σε ακουστικά των 60-80€.Απο οτι καταλαβαίνω, προορίζεται κυρίως για Gaming και όχι για επεξεργασία μουσικής (Μίξη, mastering κλπ).

Χρήσιμη για να βελτιώσει φορητά ηχεία η για σύνδεση με PS4.Ακόμα και με κινητό συνδέεται.

Η κάρτα είναι φθηνή στα 95€.

Το θέμα είναι πως τα καλά ακουστικά ξεκινούν απο 135-150€ και πάνω όπως και 1 σωστό ζευγάρι ηχεία τουλάχιστον 3.5"-4".

Η τιμή πλέον έχει ήδη αλλάξει στα 119€.Σαν να το έχω ήδη μετανιώσει που δεν την παρήγγειλα.

Για τις μεταφορικες το γνωρίζω. Απλά νόμιζα ότι το eshop έχει δικά του οχήματα για να μεταφέρει από τις αποθήκες στα υποκαταστήματα (πχ στης Πάτρας) γι' αυτό και έκανε τόσο γρήγορα υπό νορμάλ συνθήκες. Καλά δεν το βιάζομαι γι' αυτό και δεν τους παίρνω τηλ γιατί φαντάζομαι θα γίνεται χαμός απλά έλεγα μην έγινε κάποιο λάθος.

Για τις μεταφορικες το γνωρίζω. Απλά νόμιζα ότι το eshop έχει δικά του οχήματα για να μεταφέρει από τις αποθήκες στα υποκαταστήματα (πχ στης Πάτρας) γι' αυτό και έκανε τόσο γρήγορα υπό νορμάλ συνθήκες. Καλά δεν το βιάζομαι γι' αυτό και δεν τους παίρνω τηλ γιατί φαντάζομαι θα γίνεται χαμός απλά έλεγα μην έγινε κάποιο λάθος.

Κάτι ετοιμοπαράδοτο που παράγγειλα την προηγούμενη Κυριακή ήταν στο υποκατάστημα στο Μαρούσι την Πέμπτη !!!

Έχω κάνει παραγγελία από 29/11 από το eshop και 2/12 από plus4u, και τα 2 με παραλαβή από eshop Πάτρας, έχουν κολλήσει στην "συγκέντρωση" παρόλο που όλα ήταν ετοιμοπαράδοτα... Στο τηλεφωνο μου είπαν ότι έχουν φόρτο στο Μενίδι. Οπότε η ύπαρξη δικού τους στόλου μεταφορών, είναι αδιάφορη στην παρούσα φάση.

Την πήρα πριν το καλοκαίρι από το B-stock της Creative. Ήταν, ακριβώς, σαν καινούργια.

Αναβάθμισε πολύ τον ήχο στα ακουστικά (έχω AKG HD-72, τα θεωρώ πολύ "μουντά" στον ήχο)
Δεν είχα ποτέ πρόβλημα software. Το μόνο που θα ήθελα θα ήταν ένας διακόπτης εναλλαγής ανάμεσα σε ηχεία και ακουστικά πάνω στην κάρτα και όχι στο software.
