Ενημέρωση: το τελευταίο CrystalDiskInfo του 2020 & A400 Kingston SSD SBFKJ4.3

Δεν θα άνοιγα τέτοιο θέμα εάν δεν με ενθουσίαζε η τελευταία έκδοση  CrystalDiskInfo  μιας και διάβασε θαυμάσια όλες της πληροφορίες του φρέσκο αγορασμένου SSD μου.

Είναι ενδιαφέρων ότι μου το πρότεινε και η Kingston Europe σε επικοινωνία που είχαμε σήμερα, μιας και το λογισμικό της δεν λειτουργεί σε υπολογιστές με ενεργοποιημένο RAID.

There are a lot of points to cover here.

To start off, we regret that we are unable to provide you with the SBFKJ4.3 changes log.

Next, the issue is less one of trusting other third party software solutions, it is more that SATA SMART values are not standardized and one software can interpret a value different to another. Crystal Disk Info is probably the nearest tool to use, but it will depend on whether it will work with drives which are configured in RAID.

Lastly, the 100-99% reduction is commonly and incorrectly interpreted as a sign that there is something wrong with the SSD.

The SSD Wear indicator or SSD Life left is calculated by summarising different values. The drop can be caused by the large amount of files which will be transferred onto the SSD in the beginning and the background functions the operating system will execute. As long as the SSD is still working as expected and the SSD Life left will not drop further in a short time, there is no cause for concern.
