setting linux domain controller with samba v3.0

i've setup samba to make my mandrake 10 linux box a domain controller with MS-XP prof clients.

This is my smb.conf file

 

[global]

 

workgroup = samba

netbios name = LAB

encrypt passwords = yes

security = user

 

 

server string = Samba/NT PDC

socket options = TCP_NODELAY SO_RCVBUF=8192 SO_SNDBUF=8192

 

 

 

os level = 65

preferred master = yes

domain master = yes

domain logons = yes

logon path = \\%n\profiles\%u

 

logon drive = z:

logon home = \\aigio\%u

 

[netlogon]

path = /var/lib/samba/netlogon

guest ok = yes

writable = no

share modes = no

comment = Network Logon Service

 

[homes]

read only = no

browseable = no

 

All looks fine to me.When i'm going to MS-XP box to configure it to be member of my samba domain domain through -> right click to My computers->Properties->Computer Name->Member of (LAB)

 

I get the message a domain controller for the domain LAB cannot be contacted.

I can't figure out what is going wrong.

Any suggestions?

1ον: Στη παραμετρο workgroup βαζεις το ονομα του domain ή του workgroup

2ον: Το netbios name ειναι το όνομα του υπολογιστή, ή αλλιως όπως θα φαίνεται από το δικτυο.

3ον: Από τη στιγμή που θα χρησιμοποιησεις Domain το security δεν θα πρεπει να ειναι user, αλλα domain (αλλιως κάνεις μονο peer to peer)
