Amazon.de Order - Royal Mail - No tracking

Sorry I for writing in English. (I don't know Greek, trying to learn but it is really difficult)

I recently ordered a few items from amazon.de website on 13 October 2020. There were 6 pieces. 

5 of them were sent by DHL and 1 of them was sent by Royal Mail.

DHL shipment arrived without a problem 2 days ago.

But Royal Mail shipment has no tracking number on Amazon website and it didn't arrive yet.

I contacted Amazon support by chat and ask them if they can give me any tracking number, they said they couldn't and told me to be patient.

Amazon gives me a delivery time of 29 October.

But I feel completely blind because of not having any tracking information.

If anybody experienced this before, can you tell me which company delivers Royal Mail shipments in Greece.

Maybe I can go to local branch of the delivery company with my ID and ask if there is any delivery for me.

Do they leave any notice if they can't find you at home ?

I experienced DHL, speedex and elta before. They usually leave some kind of notice if they can't find you at home.

But I have no idea who delivers Royal Mail in Greece.

Can you give me any advise?

Royal Mail packages are usually delivered by Greek Post Services(ELTA) . There is no reason to go to a local post office, without a tracking number, they can't help you.

It's expected by 29th, it's 27th now, it will probably be on time, worst case scenario, it's going to be delayed a day or two. Don't worry, you parcel will arrive soon enough(even if you worry though , nothing will change :P) Just be patient.

From experience when sending packages from UK to Greece which are tracked, they usually need 1 week to arrive. Tracked packages are delivered by ACS courier. Not sure about untracked.

Today I got an sms from "γενικη ταχυδρομικη".

I'm not sure but it may be the delivery I'm waiting for.

You know there is a lockdown now, and I think I have to send some sort of sms to go out of house.

What should I write as code in sms to tell that I have to go out to take my delivery/cargo/shipment from  "γενικη ταχυδρομικη" ?

You send to 13033 : [The number] [Full Name] [Your address]. I don't think getting a package is a valid reason though. Maybe send the code "2" and visit the supermarket on the way as well or something..

 The movements are allowed only by sending an SMS to 13033 or by filling in the exceptional travel form that is available at forma.gov.gr or by handwritten certificate (according to the model) for the following reasons only:

      1. Travel for health reasons (going to a pharmacy, visiting a doctor or going to a hospital or health center, if this is recommended after relevant communication). In this case an SMS with the code 1 is sent.

      2. Go to an operating store of essential supplies, where it is not possible to send them in time. In this case the code 2 is used in the SMS. 

      3. Going to a public service, if the electronic or telephone service is not possible only for urgent needs, after setting an appointment for which the citizen is informed in writing or electronically and under the additional condition of presenting the above information, as well as going to the bank, to the extent that electronic transaction is not possible. To go to a public service or bank, the code 3 is used in the SMS. 

      4. Transfer to provide assistance to people in need, as well as to transfer a spouse or first-degree relative to and from his or her place of work, if necessary, or to accompany a student to school by a parent or guardian. In these cases (providing assistance, transferring a spouse or relative to work and accompanying a student), an SMS with the code 4 is sent. 

      5. Going to a funeral under the conditions provided by law or for going to parents who are in a dimension that is necessary to ensure communication between parents and children, in accordance with the provisions in force. In these cases the code 5 is used in the SMS. 

      6. Physical exercise outdoors or movement with a pet, individually or in pairs of two (2) persons, provided that in the latter case the necessary distance of one and a half (1.5) meters is observed. As well as a transition for feeding stray animals, provided that the transition takes place within the municipality of residence of the citizen. In these cases, the code 6 is used in the SMS.

While for the transfer of students to and from the school, a relevant certificate is issued by the Principal of the school.

That's on the seller. The seller chooses how they will send out the packages and whether this price includes tracking number or not.

There are many sellers who choose low cost shipping with no tracking in order to appear first when filtering results as "lowest cost+shipping".

That's on the seller. The seller chooses how they will send out the packages and whether this price includes tracking number or not.

There are many sellers who choose low cost shipping with no tracking in order to appear first when filtering results as "lowest cost+shipping". 

I'm only buying products directly from amazon, not 3rd party sellers

By seller I mean whoever is in charge of those products. If it's amazon itself, it has a base somewhere in this world which has different co-operators. That means, they "work" differently, and of course they wanna be #1 in the filter search for some or all products.

So are you guys suggesting I should wait before contacting Royal Mail? My package was supposed to arrive today. Should I maybe wait one or two weeks more because of the current situation?

i have ordered from Amazon.de an item with estimated delivery time 11/12 , with Royal Mail.

I have receive nothing  yet , but hope dies last....

Mine arrived a week after the estimated delivery date, usually Royal Mail is pretty fast but ELTA fucks up the delivery time

Was it sent to your home with ELTA (was it just ELTA or ELTA Courier?) or did you need to go to ELTA store to actually receive your order?
