Protowall error....

....παιδιά έχω το εξής πρόβλημα. Εγκαθιστώ το protowall. Μέχρι εδώ όλα καλά και ωραία. Το πρόβλημα ξεκινάει με το πάει να εκκινήσει το πρόγραμμα. Μου πετάει συνέχεια το εξής σφάλμα "Protowall.sys is not loaded. Please reinstall the driver bla bla bla". Βρε τι σε safe mode με networking, τι έκανα bridge τα connections που λέει στο site. Τίποτα. Έχω το adsl in a box της forthnet με το crypto f200 σε WinXP SP2(σε αυτό το wan adapter θέλω να τρέχει). Σας παρακαλώ μην μου πείτε πάρε ένα router γιατί πολύ απλά δεν υπάρχει η προοπτική να συνεχίσω την dsl πέραν των τεσσάρων μηνών(άρα δεν αξίζει). Κάποιος με λύση στο πρόβλημα μου; Thanks in advance.

Το θυμάμαι το πρόβλημα αλλα θύαμε και πως το φόρουμ τους έδινε διαφορες λύσεις. Επειδή έχω χρονια να το δουλέψω το πρόγραμμα καλο είναι να κοιτάξεις στο forum τους (πρέπει να γραφτείς για να δεις αυτά τα posts)

τέλος κανε k ένα search στο forum εδώ με keyword protowall νομίζω κάποτε είχε απαντηθεί παρόμοιο ερώτημα

Θυμάμαι ότι το πρόβλημα αυτό το έβγαζε σε παλιότερες εκδόσεις του Protowall. Πριν ένα μήνα περίπου εγκατέστησα την έκδοση 1.42 (build 5300), η οποία έχει δικό της Installer που παραμετροποιεί αυτόματα τις συνδέσεις και δεν χρειάστηκε να κάνω την διαδικασία που περιγράφω παρακάτω.

 

Σε κάθε περίπτωση, πρέπει να κάνεις το εξής (αντιγράφω από τo Bluestack forum):

 

The ProtoWall Driver requires a manual install

 

Here are the steps to take to install the driver.

 

1. Start > Control Panel > Network Connections > There you should see Local Area Connections

 

2. Now Right-hand click on the Local Area Connections and go to Properties.

 

3. Here is where you need to install the ProtoWall driver.

 

[*note* if the ProtoWall Driver is installed in the window under "This connection uses the following items" you will need to uninstall it first if you have never installed ProtoWall previously.

You can do this by highlighting the ProtoWall Driver and hitting the uninstall tab.

Once the driver is uninstalled you can continue with the ProtoWall manual driver install.]

 

4. Now hit [install]

 

5. Select Network Component and a type screen should pop up.

 

6. Highlight Service in that window, where it gives you 3 options,

 

a.Client,

b.Service,

c.Protocol

 

7. Hit [Add]

 

8. Select Network Client and another window should pop up.

 

9. On that screen you will have to hit the [Have Disk..] button

 

10. Now a new screen should pop up "Install from Disk"

 

11. On that screen hit the [browse..] button.

 

12. You will need to browse to c:/Program Files/Dudez/ProtoWall and choose the driver for your Operating System.

If you have an XP operating system choose the xpdriver folder and if you have Win2K choose the win2k driver folder.

 

13. When you get to the xpdriver folder you will see 2 files

 

1. ProtoWall

2. Protowall_MP

 

14. You will need to choose the ProtoWall.inf - not the ProtoWall_mp.inf

 

15. Once you highlight the ProtoWall.inf you will need to hit the [Open] button.

 

16. At this point you will get a digital warning popup asking you if you want to install an unsigned driver - you need to hit [Continue Anyway] for these warnings (most users get 4 of these warnings).

 

17. At this point you should lose your net connection while the driver installs but will be only for a few seconds.

 

18. The driver should be installed.

 

There are the steps that need to be taken to get the ProtoWall driver install correctly for most users.

 

Προσοχή, υπενθυμίζω ότι το Protowall δεν είναι συμβατό με WindowsΜΕ ή Windows9x!!!

Από ότι κατάλαβα επειδή κάθεται σε επίπεδο driver δεν επιβαρύνει το σύστημα. Οπότε για αυτό το προτίμησα. Ούτως ή άλλως το bitcomet χρησιμοποιεί το αρχείο ipfilter.dat οπότε είμαι διπλά καλυμμένος. Thanks πάντως.

Όχι, πραγματικά δούλεψε. Έβαλα την beta 2 και ήδη άρχισα να βλέπω αποτελέσματα. Ξανά ευχαριστώ.
