Σωστός dike mou, με καλύπτεις απόλυτα: τα codec packs μπορεί να αποδειχθούν απίστευτα προβληματικά. Και εξάλλου τι να κάνεις ένα σωρό codecs όταν δεν ξέρεις αν και πότε θα τα χρησιμοποιήσεις;

εγω παλι δεν καταλαβαινω που χρειαζονται τα AC3, Xvid, Vobsub. τα εχω και τα τρια αλλα οχι εγκατεστημενα. χρησιμευουν μονο οταν βλεπεις DVD; αν και παλι εγω δεν εχω κανενα προβλημα με κανεναν codec εγκατεστημενο..

to vobsub pali einai xrhsimo gia na mporeis na vlepeis ypotitlous se autes tis tainies.

Εάν θυμάμαι καλά για να ενεργοποιηθεί το παίξιμο DVD movie απο τον Media Player πρέπει να ρίξεις τον PowerDVD και μετά να τον ξαναβγάλεις εάν δεν τον θέλεις .

Όσον αφορά στους codecs και μετά από αρκετό ψάξιμο προτιμώ με σειρά τα παρακάτω:

1) Players με ενσωματωμένους codecs, όπως media player classic (καμία σχέση με τον media player των windows, είναι open source πρόγραμμα) και videolan.

2) http://ffdshow.sf.net. Ένας μόνο codec που παίζει τα πάντα (divx, xdiv, ac3 κτλ κτλ) και ταχύτατα, αν και πρέπει πρώτα να τα επιλέξουμε στο αντίστοιχο μενού.

3) k-lite codec pack, basic edition. Έχει μόνο τους βασικούς codecs και χωρίς προβλήματα spyware και installation/uninstallation όπως π.χ. ο nimo.

Όχι, δεν κάνεις λάθος. Και στο δικό μου σύστημα, που δεν έχει ενσωματωμένους ούτε Windows Media codecs (είναι τα XP Reduced Media Edition), πρέπει να βάλω ένα Codec pack για να παίξει αρχεία video o Media Player Classic.

Δεν έχει ΟΛΟΥΣ τους codecs, όμως έχει αρκετούς. Π.χ. για αναπαραγωγή AC3 χρησιμοποιεί την liba52 0.7.4 (http://liba52.sourceforge.net), για DTS την libdts του videolan, για mpeg την libmpeg2 κτλ. Όλα αυτά εννοείται είναι ενσωματωμένα μέσα σε ένα και μοναδικό .exe (δεν χρειάζεται καν εγκατάσταση).

 

Όσο για updates, μου φαίνεται ότι βγάζουν μία κάθε χρόνο περίπου, με τελευταία τον Μάρτη του 2005, αρκετά πρόσφατα.

δεν υπάρχει καλύτερη αναπαραγωγή από του decoder που προανέφερα, το fddshow έχει "γεράσει" και όλα τα codec packs είναι γεμάτα σκουπίδια
