Ειχε πολυ κοσμο φετος ... Ο προστ με μια mclaren, Ο Stewart με την Tyrell, ο Mansell με την FW14B, κλπ

Σωστή κίνηση. Εμπειρία έχει μεγάλη και ικανότητες από ότι αποδείχθηκε (βλέπε τι έκαναν οι αντικαταστάτες του στην RB).

1)At the start Senna took the lead from the two Williams-Renaults with Mansell getting ahead of Patrese then Berger, Schumacher, Herbert and Brundle. For the first 13 laps the top eight followed in close attention until next lap 14 Mansell tried to overtake Senna at the last chicane but the car ended off track and spun and came to a stop on the main straight. The Williams driver was out of the race and accusing Senna of pushing him off.

This time, Mansell went all four wheels over the kerb and as he went into the sandtrap he kept his foot hard down in an effort to come out the other side. He did so, regaining the track just ahead of the McLaren but sadly devoid of his nose wings. By now thoroughly out of control the FW14B spun, and after a futile effort sitting in the cockpit for more than a lap in a move perhaps designed to induce stoppage of the race, its pilot sprinted across the track and began looking for somebody to harangue. After shaking a fist at Senna, Mansell then sought out former Lotus boss Peter Warr, now the chief steward at FISA. PEW was not of a mind to sanction anybody, so Mansell turned his attention to Ron Dennis before storming out of the circuit. A wiser head might well have been prepared to accept only six points rather than try for 10, especially since he nursed a 38-point championship lead going into the event, but then Mansell’s character has always been one to seize every opportunity. This time it simply didn’t work out.

The Lotus 99T raced by Senna in 1987
Team Lotus had a new engine deal in 1987, running the same turbocharged Honda V6 engines as Williams had used to win the previous year's Constructors' Championship, and with them came a new teammate, 34-year-old Japanese driver, Satoru Nakajima, who was a test driver employed directly by Honda. The team guaranteed Senna contractually preferential treatment over Nakajima in the allocation of equipment.[63] Senna started the season with mixed fortunes: a podium at the San Marino Grand Prix was tempered by controversy at the following race at Spa-Francorchamps, where he collided with Mansell, and afterward in the pits an irate Mansell grabbed Senna by the throat and had to be restrained by Lotus mechanics.[64][65] Senna then won two races in a row, which helped him take the lead in the World Championship: the ensuing Monaco Grand Prix (the first of his record six victories at the Principality) and the Detroit Grand Prix, his second victory in two years at the angular Michigan street circuit,[66] and the first ever for an active suspension Formula One car.[67]
