New Assassin's Creed Goes Multiplayer

New title to feature Ezio. Not an expansion for Assassin's Creed II.

 

During the company's updated 2009 fiscal third quarter results this morning, it was revealed that a new episode of Assassin's Creed will be released in fiscal 2011, which begins on April 2010, and will include an online multiplayer mode.

 

"The 2010-11 fiscal year will see a greater number of franchise releases than fiscal year 2009-10, including Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction, a new game in the Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon series, Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands, Driver, Raving Rabbids 4 and a new episode of Assassin's Creed, which will be the first in the series to have an online multiplayer mode," the statement reads.

 

Ubisoft has clarified, saying this is a new title featuring Ezio, and is not an expansion for Assassin's Creed 2. The new online multiplayer mode will be for an entirely new Assassin's Creed product. It will pick up where Assassin's Creed 2 left off.

Κανένα δεν είχε multi κι αυτό διότι οι πλοκές και στα δύο παιχνίδια εστίαζαν σε έναν κεντρικό χαρακτήρα (Altair και Ezio σε Assassin's Creed I και II αντίστοιχα). Θα 'χει ενδιαφέρον να δούμε πως θα το κάνουν...

 

Πάντως άποψή μου είναι ότι βιάζονται πολύ με το sequel. Left 4 Dead κατάσταση μου μυρίζει, ας αξίζει τουλάχιστον κι ας μην κάψουν το franchise...

Next Assassin's Creed Will Have Full Campaign, "Justified" Multiplayer

 

On the red carpet for the Interactive Achievement Awards here at the DICE convention yesterday, two of the top creators of the Assassin's Creed series provided a little better sense of what the series' surprise next installment will be like.

 

Ubisoft creative director Patrice Desilets and series lead writer Corey May were both there to celebrate their game's nine nominations and hope to win. While the next Assassin's Creed has been described as the series' first installment with multiplayer, Desilets and May said that the game, featuring ACII hero Ezio's return to Rome, will have a full single-player campaign. Desilets also said — "You know us" — that the game's multiplayer will have a "narrative justification."

 

The game is being developed at Ubisoft Montreal. May added, with joking helpfulness: "It won't be boring."

 

The game is expected to come out by the end of March 2011.

 

Questioned how there could be another full Assassin's Creed just a year after the previous game, Desilets said that it took a year to get the technology fully in place for the last one and is confident that that makes it easier to turn this next game around more swiftly.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Confirmed

Ubisoft confirms name of next title.

 

Ubisoft has confirmed to IGN the title of the next Assassin's Creed game.

 

A purported GameStop reservation placeholder card for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood has been leaked early by an employee. Ubisoft said the image below is authentic and that they'll have more information next week.

 

The game will be released this fall for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. The details listed on the back of the card align with what Ubisoft has already confirmed, such as the inclusion of Ezio and the location, Rome.

 

"Live and breathe as Ezio, now a legendary master assassin, in his struggle against the Templar order. Lead your own brotherhood of Assassins and strike at the heart of the enemy. Rome," the card says, according to Kotaku.

 

"And for the first time, take part in an innovative multiplayer layer allowing you to embody an assassin of your choosing and define their killing style. A never-before-seen online multiplayer experience. Lead your own brotherhood of assassins, as Ezio, and conquer Rome."

 

Pre-ordering the game at GameStop will give you an exclusive multiplayer character. No details on who that might be. It's expected Ubisoft will announce its fiscal quarterly results later this month.

The new game in the saga of Assassin's Creed is confirmed, it will be called "Brotherhood" and it will be available later this year, IGN has managed to get the cover of the game and ubisoft aparently confirmed it's validity saying they will reveal more details in the coming week, you can check the article here.

Δεν είναι το Assassin's Creed 3 πάντως... Είναι κάτι σαν Assassin's Creed 2.5 Δεν ξέρω αν θα έχει στόρυ που θα συμπληρώνει το 2. Πάντως θα έχει multiplayer
