Μέχρι στιγμής λειτουργεί (πιθανότατα) ο freeloader του GameCube ώστε να παίζεις GameCube παιχνίδια από όλες τις regions. The huge air, blurring speed and insane tricks that SSX is known for return and the fun-factor is amplified by the unique capability of the Nintendo Wii controller. The game is in development by EA Montreal under the EA SPORTS BIG brand, and will be in store across North America and Europe in March 2007. Revolutionary controls take full advantage of the Wii's potential by putting you in total command of your skier or rider, on-the-ground & in-the-air, by translating every motion you make into the skills that create mountain legends. Let's face it, SSX has not been the most fantastic of series but it has been enjoyable. Some of the games are great and some aren't. Hopefully with the Wii-mote this will be a better one, at least the game play will be new and interesting instead of only random button-mashing. I can't wait to see the videos on this one when it comes out and people get boarding with the Wii-mote. SSX Blur will be available for the Nintendo Wii in March 2007. Video Capture Screen No More Heroes Interview What's next for the makers of Killer 7? Whether you're a newcomer or an age-old fan of Nintendo, chances are you know Killer 7, Capcom's amazingly edgy action game that hit GameCube back in 2005. Bringing a style all its own, Killer 7 debuted (and remained to be) one of the most intriguing original designs to hit GCN, and instantly became a cult classic among Nintendo patrons worldwide. The game's designer and director Goichi Suda isn't finished yet, however, as the Wii is now being treated so a similarly styled and incredibly unique game known as No More Heroes. Though very little is currently known about the game - with only snippets of info and a main teaser video thus far - IGN had a chance to sit down and chat with the series creator and pick his brain on the vision that is No More Heroes. IGN: In the Heroes trailer, the hero (Travis Touchdown) and Helter Skeltor use a gun and sword. How does that control with the Wiimote in the game? Suda: Actually Helter Skeltor is your enemy and only Travis Touchdown uses a sword to fight against enemies. He's a sword master, so you can defend yourself against enemies using it. IGN: Will you be using other different kinds of swords, or just one? Suda: You can use different kinds of swords. Miss Naomi is a professional weapons maker, and she can make various kinds of swords, so you can buy them from her but they're quite expensive. IGN: Does the game have RPG elements? For example if I use one katana throughout the whole game, will my skills with that katana become better? Suda: You can level up via experience points, but we haven't decided the specific details of how the system will work. IGN: So the Wiimote controls the sword movement, does the nunchuck attachment control movement at all? Suda: Yes, you can use the nunchuck to move the character and attack the enemy by pushing a button, or by swinging the sword. It's a very simple control scheme. IGN: Does the game use a similar engine to Killer 7 or is it a completely new engine? Suda: Yeah, it's totally different. IGN: So why did you choose the same graphic style as Killer 7? Suda: As you've seen in the trailer, the graphics are similar to Killer 7, but in the game the graphics will be a little different from the trailer. It'll be more illustration-based, with 3D maps. I think you'll be surprised when you see the game! IGN: The hero of the game is Travis Touchdown, will you be able to use only Travis or other characters? Suda: Yeah, Travis is the only hero in the game. IGN: Will you have non-playable partners that will accompany you in the game? Suda: You will have partners that will help you in the game, such as Naomi, but you'll have to fight your enemies by yourself, so there won't be any partners in the game as far as actual battling goes. IGN: Will you have any online functions in Heroes? Has it been decided yet? Suda: We may use Wi-Fi with the game, but we haven't decided on that just yet. IGN: For Heroes, the trailer had a ranking from 11 until 1. How is the game being designed? Is it a mission-based game or a sandbox-style game? Suda: The goal of the game is to defeat all ten hitmen, so there are ten boss battles in the game. But yes, it is mission-based. IGN: So will it be 8 - 10 levels or something? Suda: There will be a main map with ten stages to select from across it. IGN: So how exactly are you going to find the bosses in the game? Will you have to fight through minions or will it just be the boss? Will it be GTA-Style? Suda: First, Heroes is a free-roaming game, so you can move wherever you want freely. It's very different from Killer 7, which was very linear. The map represents the west coast of America, namely California, but it's set in a small town. You can ride in a car, or in a bike, or whatever, it's pretty free and open. IGN: So, the Heroes trailer was uploaded a few months ago, but it was quickly brought down. What was the reason for that? Suda: Actually we didn't expect the trailer to be uploaded so soon! That's why we took it down. The Tokyo Game Show was supposed to be the proper time to debut the title. IGN: Will the game support widescreen/progressive scan mode? Suda: Maybe! IGN: When is the game expected for release? Suda: Both in US and Europe you'll be playing Heroes before 2008, so sometime in 2007. IGN: Why did you choose the Wii for Heroes? Suda: People will probably buy the Wii and play family games like Wii Sports, so we decided to develop Heroes for the Wii because gamers might get tired of the family games eventually. Also, people who are going to buy the Wii are interested in trying something different, something that's an extraordinary action game. IGN: Killer 7 was on the GC, and Heroes is on the Wii, is Suda51 a big fan of Nintendo and its mission statement to make games that are accessible to everyone? Suda: In the development environment, the Wii is very easy to develop games for because Nintendo supports developers quite a lot. I'm happy to make games for Nintendo because I'm a big fan of the company. IGN: Are you afraid that games are getting too expensive to develop? Suda: Well, Grasshopper isn't a big company, we're really small, and to develop new games and projects, the Wii is the best platform for us right now. The budget for developing a Wii game very reasonable for developers who are doing new projects. On other platforms it can be very expensive to make games. If we made games for the PS3 or 360, it'd require a huge budget.

Ανεξάρτητα από το τί λένε στα διάφορα sites, πιστεύω ότι οι Έλληνες gamers είναι από τους πιό down-to-earth που υπάρχουν στο πλανήτη (και πιθανώς στο ηλιακό μας σύστημα), οπότε μία άποψη ενός από εμάς είναι 10Χ η άποψη των άλλων....

Issues raised are that graphics do look poor and that the Wii remote doesn't conduct such a good job. The editor let his wife take a few swings with the remote and even she was complaining that the device wasn't translated her movements properly. quote: And it is worth making sure you have plenty of room in which to play: my wife and I literally came to blows when boxing and I managed to swipe a lamp shade during one frenetic tennis match. The sport games are more mini-games than fully-featured titles. There is a disappointingly limited range of options for each sport - just one course for golf, no variation in the bowling or baseball games and only a few rounds of action in the boxing. The success of the games stands and falls on the ability to truly control the on-screen action with the Wiimote and in this regard the Wii is a mixed success. There is a learning curve with all new games and control systems but I had the distinct impression that often the action on the screen was only loosely connected to how I used the controller. For video gamers, it was the month that was - November 2006, the first time all three new home systems would be available to consumers, along with three established portable game devices. It was a month that belonged to Nintendo. According to independent sales data from the NPD Group, Nintendo sold 55 percent of all video game systems in November, led by the launch of the Wii™ home system and the incredible continuing success of the Nintendo DS™ portable. In only the first seven days of availability after its Nov. 19 launch, Wii sold nearly half a million systems in the United States alone (as reported previously by Nintendo, total sales of Wii in the Americas reached 600,000 in its first eight days of availability). Despite spot shortages in some locations, well more than a million Wii systems will be available in the United States by the end of the year. While Wii sold through at a rate of more than 70,000 a day for the seven days represented in the data (substantially higher than any other game device), Novemberʼs two top sellers of any type were the Nintendo DS, at almost 920,000 units, and Game Boy® Advance, with nearly 642,000 portables sold. With Wii and Nintendo GameCube™ totals included, Nintendo sold through more than 2.1 million of the 3.9 million systems purchased for the month. The data also reveals that the Wii title The Legend of Zelda®: Twilight Princess achieved sales of 412,000, representing 87 percent of all Wii purchasers, the highest industry rate of sale for any launch title since introduction of Super Mario® 64 with the Nintendo® 64 a decade ago. Τα σχέδια τα είδες? Σχεδόν ολόιδιο είναι με το Wiimote. Για να δούμε πώς θα τα βγάλει πέρα η Nintendo...... Βέβαια ερωτηματικά κινεί το γεγονός για ποιό λόγο γίνεται η μήνυση τώρα, όταν έχει πάνω από ένα χρόνο που δημοσιεύθηκε το Wiimote... Edit: Μετά από λίγο ψάξιμο και περισσότερο διάβασμα, παρ'όλο που οπτικά τα χειρηστήρια μοιάζουν, η εταιρία μηνύει τη Nintendo για αντιγραφή της "Σκανδάλης" "Β" που έχει το Wiimote! Όπως σωστά αναφέρεται από φορουμίτες σε άλλα φόρουμς, η καταγγελία αυτή είναι πολύ δύσκολο να σταθεί στα πόδια της, μιάς και έχουμε την "Ζ" σκανδάλη στο χειριστήριο του Ν64...

apple64 Δημοσ. 9 Δεκεμβρίου 2006 Δημοσ. 9 Δεκεμβρίου 2006 Panther από δευτέρα-τρίτη θα έχει ένας φίλος το Red Steel και θα ξέρουμε περισσότερα για αυτό. Έχω τρελαθεί με το Wii Tennis! Ο ήχος του αέρα και της μπάλας που "χτυπάει" την ρακέτα στο ηχειάκι του Remote είναι απίστευτος! Το Zelda φαίνεται πολύ καλό. Έκανα λίγο να συνηθίσω τον χειρισμό του αλλά όλα ΟΚ τώρα. Τα γραφικά είναι αρκετά καλά. Πολλά βήματα μπροστά στο animation!

Πάντως τα γραφικά τα περίμενα καλύτερα.Αν αυτές είναι οι δυνατότητες του wii σε έναν top τίτλο όπως το ζέλντα τότε η Ν θα έχει πρόβλημα στο μέλλον που ο κόσμος θα έχει ψιλοβαρεθεί το wii remote. Ελπίζω το ζέλντα να ήταν port από gc και να μην είναι αυτή η δύναμη του wii Γενικά όμως είναι τρέλα! Δευτέρα παίρνω red steel και σας λέω εντυπώσεις. Μπορεί κάποιος να μου πει ποιός είναι ο καλύτερος φορτιστής μπαταριών και ποιές οι καλύτερες επαναφορτιζόμενες για να πάρω για το remote?
panther_512 Δημοσ. 9 Δεκεμβρίου 2006 Δημοσ. 9 Δεκεμβρίου 2006 Polaki, το έχουμε πεί πολλές φορές τώρα, ότι το Zelda είναι GameCube παιχνίδι, με GameCube γραφικά. Η μόνη διαφορά στα γραφικά μεταξύ GC και Wii έκδοσης είναι το widescreen και 480p στο Wii. Σίγουρα να περιμένεις παιχνίδια με καλύτερα γραφικά στο μέλλον.
