*Ουσιαστικά υπάρχει αρκετό "bitching" για το event Η αλήθεια όμως είναι ότι αν δεν ξέραμε τίποτα από τις προηγούμενες ημέρες ίσως να μέναμε και αρκετά ικανοποιημένοι !

 

- Επιστροφή στο 2ng gen look για τα iPod Nano με νέο GUI και accelometer built-in

- iPod Touch με volume buttons, speakers, nike + built-in

- Νέα headphones

- iTunes 8 με genius playlists

- iPhone 2.1 την Παρασκευή

 

Αρκετά ικανοποιητικό event κατά την γνώμη μου, που ουσιαστικά - όπως και κάθε χρόνο - έχει σαν σκοπό να παρουσιάζει το line-up της εορταστικής περιόδου ..

Όσο για τα Macbook, είμαι και εγώ στο παιγνίδι της υπομονής αλλά πραγματικά δεν περίμενα να τα δώ σήμερα

Αλήθεια ακούς ακόμα Radio ??? Αν δεν υπήρχε και το supersport FM, τότε αναμφίβολα δεν θα το χρησιμοποιούσα ποτέ μου ..

Rumor: Apple MacBook Event on Oct. 14

 

Yesterday's new iPods were lovely and all, but if you're like me, you wanted something more. Like some notebooks. Not to worry, Daring Fireball's John Gruber says according to the standard "sources familiar with Apple's hardware plans" that its "Let's MacBook" event will happen on Oct. 14.

While he doesn't get specific what the new hardware will be, the heavily favored are new MacBooks clad in aluminum (peace out white), and new MacBook Pros, both long overdue for an overhaul. Also likely is a gut refresh of the MacBook Air, with a faster processor, and as MacRumors points out, the iPod classic's new 120GB HDD is the same kind used in the Air.

An October event also matches up with the date floated for the most pipe dreamy of all MacBook rumors, a MacBook Touch, and Apple's recent warning to retailers to stock up on current inventory. What are you hoping for? [Daring Fireball via MacRumors]

Εγώ μόλις διάβασα το thread και δεν είχα ακούσει τπτ καθώς το είχα ξεχάσει. Και μπορώ να πω ότι δεν εντυπωσιάστηκα. Θα μείνω ακόμα στο Ν95 8GB καθώς τα κάνει όλα καλά αν εξαιρέσεις το αργό GPS. Έχω πάρει και ένα σετ καλά ακουστικά της Westone οπότε μια χαρά και για μουσική μεσα στο κράνος.

New MacBooks already shipping, hitting stores September 23rd?

If we're to believe a report out today from Citigroup analyst Richard Gardner, Steve Jobs may be taking his "one more thing" to its logical -- and lengthy -- conclusion. According to Gardner (via Barron's) "field checks" on Apple's movements have "confirmed shipments" of "new MacBooks." Gardner goes on to detail stand-out features of the new laptops, saying the currently-en-route devices boast a "very thin aluminum casing, an LED backlit display and an aggressive entry-level price point." Sure, this crazy talk does happen to fall somewhat in line with recent tips we've received suggesting that a new MacBook Pro will be headed onto store shelves come September 23rd, but that doesn't change the fact that all of this information is being reported by lone sources (Citigroup affiliation notwithstanding) with absolutely no evidence to back up their claims. We won't argue that it would be great to see a much-needed update to MacBooks and / or Pros in the very near future, but we don't recommend placing any bets... not until we see some more of those juicy Apple leaks.

New MacBook Pros leaked on German site?

 

Sure, none of it makes any sense, but we can't shake the feeling that there's something a little weird going on here. We've received a number of tips that T-Systems -- a division of the same company that owns T-Mobile -- has got pics of some variation of a MacBook Pro that we've certainly never seen before. The appearance of a new model would fall right in line with those rumors we've been hearing, but this seems a little too easy. In fact, the specs of these devices appear unchanged from the current lineup of laptops. The likely explanation is that there's been a photo mix-up -- someone got their proper MBP pictures crossed with one of those "wishful thinking" renders. Then again, given Apple's recent propensity for leaked photos... maybe there's something more to this.

 

Update: As a commenter noted, the above picture does look very, very similar to this fan-made mock-up, yet there are noticeable differences between the two (the thickness of the base, shape of the screen, location and style of the optical drive, width of the trackpad), which ultimately raise more questions.

Supposed MacBook Pro redesign, meet Mr. BlurryiPhonecam

Look, there are a hundred reasons to think this might be fake. That janky right corner, the inexplicable "dock in the trackpad" conundrum, the odd lighting and the entirely-too-convenient iSight self portrait. Still, whoever made this has their finger on the pulse of the Apple faithful -- or pretty much anyone else that thinks Apple is long overdue for a MacBook Pro refresh. We've got Air-inspired curves, a touchscreen trackpad, aluminum and glass in the style of Apple's latest iMacs, and what appear to be separated keys, which have been slow in coming to the MacBook Pro holdout. Naturally there's zero info on who the source is, and we're expecting a "hah, I totally fooled you guys" to spring up at any moment, but there's clearly some pent up demand for this thing if the rumor mill is any indication.

Next-gen MacBook, MacBook Pro spotted in matching outfits

Production ready versions of Apple's next-generation MacBook and MacBook Pro notebooks have surfaced stateside in matching attire, according to reports.

 

In its attempt to provide the most accurate picture of Apple's future product plans, AppleInsider is publishing these tidbits only as a rumor to supplement earlier reports of higher conviction.

 

According to the latest reports, both the new 13-inch MacBooks and 15- and 17-inch MacBook Pros will share similarities not only in their employment of aluminum enclosures, but in their overall aesthetic as well, with the new 13-inch MacBooks for the first time matching their higher-priced cousins as if they were members of the same product family.

 

Again, the new designs were described as a cross between the 13-inch MacBook Air introduced this January and the aluminum iMacs that made their debut during the summer of 2007. In its April report, AppleInsider noted this would include a trimming -- or tapering -- around the edges and instances of black material to contrast the largely aluminum motif of the new notebooks.

 

New, however, are rumors that Apple has done away with some traditional I/O ports and altered others as it strives to marginally reduce the overall footprint of its next-gen notebooks. In particular, the FireWire 400 port appears to have been removed from the new MacBook Pro, leaving a backwards compatible FireWire 800 port.

 

(Note: a hybrid 9-pin FireWire 800/3200 port looks identical to a FireWire 800 port, though there is no information either way on whether the new 3200 technology will be supported.)

 

 

 

In addition, the new MacBook Pro is also reported to be missing its traditional and bulky 28-pin DVI-I (Dual Link) port, which has instead been replaced with what appears to be a mini-DVI port like the one found on the existing 13-inch MacBook line and iMac line.

γενικά είναι μια εποχή που αναμένονται αναβαθμίσεις ή και ανασχεδιασμοί σε μηχανήματα apple (κυρίως στις laptop σειρές), αλλά επειδή το mac mini έχει αρκετό καιρό να δει αναβάθμιση πολλά είναι πιθανά.

Γενικά όμως να γνωρίζεις ότι η apple συνήθως αποσύρει τα παλιά μοντέλα αμέσως και αφήνει μόνο τα καινούρια κρατώντας τις τιμές ίδιες
