Η Google ετοιμάζεται να εισαγάγει σημασιολογικές αναζητήσεις για τη βελτίωση των αποτελεσμάτων

Η Google πρόκειται να εμπλουτίσει τη μηχανή αναζήτησής της αναπτύσσοντας μια τεχνολογία σημασιολογικής αναζήτησης στα αποτελέσματα κάθε ερωτήματος, με σκοπό να βελτιώσει την ακρίβειά τους. Οι αλγόριθμοι της εταιρείας θα τροποποιηθούν έτσι ώστε να “καταλαβαίνουν” το τι ζητά πραγματικά ο χρήστης σε κάθε αναζήτησή του και θα δίνουν μια άμεση απάντηση στο ερώτημά του, πέραν των παραδοσιακών αποτελεσμάτων.

 

Άνθρωποι της εταιρείας αναφέρουν ότι έχουν ήδη ξεκινήσει προσπάθειες συσχετισμών μεγάλου όγκου πληροφοριών όπως τοποθεσίες, ανθρώπων και αντικειμένων μέσα από βάσεις δεδομένων. Ο Amit Singhal, ένας από τους εργαζομένους της Google που ειδικεύεται στην ανάπτυξη της σημασιολογικής τεχνολογίας, διευκρινίζει ότι πρόκειται να δωθεί μεγαλύτερη έμφαση στο “πώς οι άνθρωποι αντιλαμβάνονται τον κόσμο”, αντί να στηρίζεται σε αποτελέσματα από προκύπτουν από συνηθισμένες αναζητήσεις σε ιστοσελίδες.

 

 

Η σημασιολογική αναζήτηση της Google έρχεται λίγο μετά την παρουσίαση του Siri από την Apple, μιας τεχνολογίας “προηγμένου προσωπικού βοηθού”, ο οποίος στηρίζεται στην ίδια τεχνολογία. Ακόμη σύμφωνα με πρόσφατες διαρροές φαίνεται ότι και η Google ετοιμάζει μια παρόμοια τεχνολογία, γνωστή ως “Assistant” η οποία θα παρέχει προσωποποιημένες υπηρεσίες αναγνώρισης φωνής συνδυασμένες με αλγορίθμους που θα κάνουν συγκρίσεις μεταξύ διαφορετικών τύπων δεδομένων.

 

Η Google αναμένεται να παρουσιάσει τις πρώτες δυνατότητες σημασιολογικής αναζήτησης μέσα στους επόμενους μήνες, χωρίς να έχει δημοσιευτεί ακόμη κάποια επίσημη ημερομηνία έναρξής των υπηρεσιών της.

Από-τι καταλαβαίνω αυτό που προοθεί η εταιρία είναι κάτι με την τεχνιτή νοημοσίνη απο πίσω που θα αναγνωρίζει με κάποιο τρόπο τη σημασία της φράσης και θα την μεταφράζει σε κάτι άλλο που χρήσιμοποιείται ποιό συχνά από τους χρήστες.

Offtopic: Αν και έχω forthet οπότε δεν συνάντησα πρόβλημα, είδα ότι πολλοί χρήστες έλυσαν το πρόβλημα χρησιμοποιώντας τους DNS της Google: http://code.google.c...docs/using.html (παραθέτω κι εδώ τις οδηγίες γιατί μπορεί σε κάποιους να μη φορτώνει η σελίδα):

 

 

 

Microsoft Windows

DNS settings are specified in the TCP/IP Properties window for the selected network connection.

 

Example: Changing DNS server settings on Microsoft Windows 7

 

1. Go the Control Panel.
2. Click Network and Internet, then Network and Sharing Center, and click Change adapter settings.
3. Select the connection for which you want to configure Google Public DNS. For example:

Όχι ακριβώς.

Η σημασιολογία έχει να κάνει με το Semantic Web(Web 3.0) και δε βασίζεται σε τεχνητή νοημοσύνη αλλά σε οντολογίες.

Ως τώρα οι μηχανές δεν καταλάβαιναν αυτά που διάβαζαν απλά τα αποθήκευαν. Με το Web3 θα αλλάξει αυτό.

Παράδειγμα χρήσης Web3 είναι το facebook που χρησιμοποιεί οντολογίες.
