Ένας πολύ σπουδαίος λόγος να αγοράσει κανείς nokia απο ότι άλλη συσκευή. Είναι πολύ καλύτερο απο το navigon που κοστίζει και αρκετά.

Καλημέρα, ξέρει κανείς για τα sms γιατί δεν έχουμε υποστήριξη 160 χαρακτήρων ή πότε θα έχουμε?

Έχεις 1st gen συσκευή ε; Δε πρόκειται να αλλάξει κάτι, να πάρεις κάποια επίσημη αλλαγή δηλαδή.

Όμως είχα δει στο marketplace εφαρμογή όπου γράφεις εκεί το κείμενό σου και του αλλάζει κωδικοποίηση για να μπορείς να το στείλεις με λιγότερα sms.

Βγήκε Nokia Drive 2.0 με offline πλοήγηση.

Δουλεύει άψογα σε LG E900 Optimus 7.

Χρειάζεται ίντερνετ μόνο στην αρχή για να κατεβάσει χάρτη Ελλάδος και ελληνική φωνή.

 

Οι ΝΟΚΙάδες λογικά θα έχουν ήδη το update. Για μας τους άλλους

so here is what I want to know...Windows Phones 1st, 2nd gen and Windows Phone 8. Any hope for upgrades?

 

 

Yes, all current Windows Phones will receive a subset of Apollo. The carriers are the primary obstacle in the US. I hear Microsoft is pushing hard for a Mango-like delivery schedule, as are Nokia & HTC.

 

Some Apollo features will be exclusive to the 3rd-gen devices expected to be released this fall on the MSM8960 platform.

 

 

are there any plans of making the WP more "open" in Apollo? Like enabling USB connection, using it with Linux, more personnalisation (setting default apps)? Do you have any information on this? What is Nokia's role in designing the WP8?

 

 

Yes. For instance, WP becomes a "true Microsoft platform", like the Xbox & WoA(8) & you'll see Windows Phone Companion in lieu of Zune desktop client.

 

Nokia's role is in defining chipset support (beyond Qualcomm), designing the camera-to-software interaction model, antenna & battery design, languages & regional services, etc.

 

 

 

 

Can you talk about windows phone and where you see the platform going? Integration with windows 8?

 

The platform has a downward (spec/cost-wise) pull from Nokia & an upward pull from the Windows org. Capability-wise, it will be as good as iOS & Android, give or take some by-design differences, from the end of this year onward. Market-share wise, optimistically achieving 20% at its peak. Pessimist view: 10%.

 

Integration with Bing, Office, Windows & Xbox will be the best Microsoft has ever done in that respect to date. In other words, nowhere near as good as how Apple does things.
