New Ramattra details from Chinese interview with NGA

Just gonna summarize the new/interesting tidbits:

  • Ramattra is the leader of Null Sector but it's too soon to reveal what connection he has to Talon, if any. The forthcoming PvE missions will reveal the details of his discussion with Doomfist after the Havana Incident.

  • The upcoming PvE story content will reveal more details about Ramattra.

  • The team views Ramattra to be more of an anti-hero than a villain, because while Null Sector may look like villains from the position of Overwatch, he's genuinely fighting for the survival of his people rather than for any selfish motivations. That being said, he has no qualms about crushing his enemies, because in his heart he believes that his cause is truly just.

  • They gave him a lot of charismatic traits to make playing him feel really enjoyable: "The way he always speaks like he's on a stage, the way he ruthlessly defeats his foes, the rage that engulfs him, his terrifying aura, the way he brings death down upon his enemies... these things are likely to make him quite popular with players."

  • Ramattra was created during the Omnic Crisis by the god program Anubis, which had previously appeared in the comic Pharah: Mission Statement.

  • Ramattra's two forms represent the duality of his personality and emotions very well. In his Omnic form he is like a monk with a staff who has been patiently leading his people in battle, but after many years of trauma and setbacks he eventually reaches a breaking point and undergoes a metamorphosis, which is conveyed through his Nemesis form.

  • They want the player to feel as if they're fighting alongside Ramattra when they play him, and his voice actor has done an incredible job, making him feel very dramatic.

  • Ramattra was originally very introverted and hoped to find a path among the Shambali. During this time he grew close with Zenyatta and they even came to regard each other as brothers. But he was unable to reconcile with himself so he left the order.

  • In order to protect his people he feels he needs to act, and that emotion and inner drive is strongly reflected in his gameplay. He won't just hang back and try to win the battle from thousands of miles away like Zenyatta, instead he will force himself to take immediate action.

  • Even now, Ramattra believes that nobody else in the world understands him or what is necessary for their people to thrive better than Zenyatta, and this is reflected in their dialogue.

  • Ramattra's personality is encapsulated by the phrase "elegant and full of wisdom." He has been fighting for his people for many years, but always meets with failure. This is the source of his frustration, anger, and negativity.

  • As he grew more powerful, his voice became more intimidating. As he grew more angry, he became more dangerous. This comes through when he unleashes his ultimate and you can hear the frustration sort of boil over in his voice lines. The development team is obsessed with the way it feels.

  • Within the Overwatch organization there are many heroes who fought against Null Sector, so you can imagine how their interactions will go. Because Ramattra isn't a hero (from the human perspective), and his attitude towards mankind is unfriendly, there's a lot of open animosity between him and the heroes who opposed Null Sector in the past.

  • In his Omnic form he is focused on poking the enemy team, harassing them from flanks, and protecting his own team. When he switches to Nemesis Form he changes into a sort of dive tank, pushing into the backline and dealing lots of damage.

  • The most important skill for playing Ramattra is knowing when to switch forms. At the start of a teamfight you will probably want to stay back and play defensively while poking, and then find the right moment to switch forms and dive to secure picks and turn the tide of the fight.

  • In his Omnic form his primary fire shoots projectiles similar to missiles, but when he switches to Nemesis form he attacks with giant punches. The team hopes this will make him easier to play for people with poor aim.

  • There's a perception that all the new heroes so far in Overwatch 2 are too difficult for beginners. The team is paying attention to that, but for Ramattra, their main focus was exploring the possibilities of having a character with a larger number of skills split between two modes. They do want to make sure they've always got a large variety of heroes to suit the different preferences of players.

  • Ramattra is designed to be the kind of hero that can be effective both when grouped up with the team or when fighting on his own. Because his Nemesis form is so large, he's easy to hit for certain characters and is especially weak to things like sleep dart, for example.

  • The team considers Ramattra to be the starting point of the new OW2 story arc, and he'll be heavily involved in pushing the story forward and answering the unanswered questions set up in previous stories. His lore will also tie in with Zenyatta's, giving players an opportunity to learn more about his side of the story too.

  • Ramattra's design stemmed from issues with Ashe and B.O.B., in which they wanted to move away from designing two distinct characters in one hero. So while he has two distinct forms, there's also a middleground in the design where they both overlap.

  • When doing the art for him and his skins they have to keep in mind the balance between the two forms, where his Omnic form is more calm and zen, and then changes into the violent Nemesis form that just keeps throwing punches. They also want him to feel attractive but very dangerous.

  • There are heroes who will enter modes that make you want to keep your distance, and this is especially true for Ramattra. When he enters Nemesis form he turns gigantic you just want to hurry up and get away.

  • One of the skins they're designing for him is inspired by Poseidon. When designing new skins for him, they are starting by designing his Omnic form and then moving onto designing the Nemesis form. They want to make sure the Nemesis form doesn't change so much that you can't tell it's the same hero.

  • They started designing Ramattra back when they were working on the Havana Incident story event, and have known since then that he was going to be a tank.

Και δυστηχώς ή ευτυχώς υπάρχει τοξικότητα και σε Ελληνική μεριά. Ειδικά στο Warcraft, οτι το χειρότερο...

Να θυμίσω ότι και παλιότερα στο forum υπήρχε όμαδα που παίζαμε και αυτό σταμάτησε για αυτό ακριβώς τον λόγο, οπως επίσης ότι από το εδώ θέμα άτομα έχουν οι ιδιοι πει οτι έχουν φάει Silence απο την Blizzard λόγω αυτού.

Αρα ναι, προσωπικά πλέον μόνο με άτομα που γνωρίζω(κυριολεκτικά)μιλάω σε τέτοια παιχνιδια σε voice chat.

Χαιρομαι πάντως που το κομμάτι της απόδοσης μπήκε σε τελευταία μοίρα, και πιάσαμε το...''social'' κομμάτι.

 

Ναι ναι άστα να πάνε, είμαι τεράστια celebrity εγώ στο forum και έχω και πολλούς θαυμαστές 😂

Στο OW2 εχω την αισθηση οτι ειναι μεγαλυτερο το ποσοστο παικτων (σε σχεση με το 1) που δεν κανει τον κοπο να βαλει το team auto join και φυσικα δεν μιλαει πραγμα που το κανει lifeless και ειναι σαν να παιζουμε CoD.
Ειναι πολυ κριμα γιατι και το OW και το Valo που ανεφερες, χρειαζονται τα voice comms..Ειναι τοσο μα τοσο καλυτερο το experience.
Πειτε εστω και 1 info, ειναι καλυτερο απο το τιποτα 😔.

Transformers θα τους κανουν τους ηρωες απο δω και περα; Eπισης γιατι παρουσιαζουν το dual mode σαν κατι καινουργιο; και κανουν την συγκριση με Ashe και Bob? ο Bastion ειναι ηρωας με dual mode απο την αρχη του πρωτου OW. τον ξεχασανε, οπως ξεχασανε ποσο αχρηστο ειναι το νεο του ultimate?

ΙΜΗΟ, θα πρεπει να εστιασουν στην απλοποιηση των mechanics στους μελλοντικους ηρωες, δεν χρειαζεται να τους φορτωνουν με abilities και transformation gimmicks. Υπαρχει λογος που οι παικτες γκρινιαζουν για την δυσκολια εκμαθησης των νεων ηρωων , οπως αναφερουν στην συνεντευξη.

Πειτε εστω και 1 info, ειναι καλυτερο απο το τιποτα 😔.

Ας κάνει ο άλλος αυτά που πρέπει(ειδικά σε Quick Play που κρατάει λιγότερο),και ας μην χρησιμοποιεί voice chat.

Στο Quick Play που αναφέρθηκε και πιο πίσω, καλώς ή κακώς οι περισσότεροι ειναι πέρα βρέχει. Παρατάνε τα points να παιξουν φάπες, κανεις defense και πουσάρουν στην βάση των αντιπάλων και ψοφάνε και άλλα ωραία.

Στο Competitive και ειδικά σε υψηλότερα ranks που νιώθουν λίγο παραπάνω περι objectives αλλά και από ήρωες/abilites, ειναι ψιλο υποχρεωτικό/αναγκαίο.

Τώρα που ο επόμενος ήρωας θα είναι κλειδωμένος και θα σε αναγκάζει ή να πληρώσεις για battlepass ή να λιώσεις μέχρι το lvl 55 να δώ τί θα γίνει.

Εγώ πάντως συναχίζω και αρνούμαι να το εγκαταστήσω και για την κοροϊδία του Overwatch "2"  αλλά κυρίως για το άθλιο shop του.

και ακομη δεν ξερουμε τι γινεται με τον νεο ηρωα, εφοσων τελειωσει η σεζον. τον δινουν δωρεαν αυτοματα; τον πουλανε στο μαγαζι; η τον αφαιρουν και τον ξαναδιαθετουν παλι για περιορισμενο διαστημα σε κανα anniversary event?

ασε που παιζει να ειναι ο νεος ηρωας εσκεμμενα ΟP στο ξεκινημα, για να τρεξουν τα πιτσιρικια να τον αγορασουν. τετοιες "μαρκετιστικες" τακτικες εφαρμοζουν στο Hearhstone με τις νεες καρτες εδω και χρονια. ειλικρινα δεν ξερεις ποια θα ειναι η επομενη απατη τους.

ελπιζω να υπαρξουν αντιδρασεις,  ο πολυς κοσμος δεν εχει συνειδητοποιησει ακομη οτι τους 3 νεους ηρωες τους εκανε 'δωρο' η Activision. και οτι απο δω και περα εχει grinding η χρηματα, για να τον ξεκλειδωσεις. θα το καταλαβουν σιγουρα στην επομενη σεζον.

ποιος ειναι ο νεος ηρωας που λες? o Ramattra ειναι στο BP επιβεβαιωμενο στο 55 lvl παλι οπως η κιρικο.
Αν εννοεις την κιρικο ακομα δεν ξερουμε πως θα δωθει αλλα εχω μια υποψια πως θα πρεπει να παιξεις αρκετα games στο season 2 για να την βγαλεις.
για οσους λιωνουν στο παιχνιδι αν πας πανω απο lvl 200 στο BP ουσιαστικα προχωρας και στο BP της 2η season

Προσωπικα θεωρω soft throw το να μην εισαι vc, πλεον υπαρχει το ping που παλι βλεπω πολλους να μην το χρησιμοποιουν αλλα τουλαχιστον ειναι κατι...αλλα το να μην ακους τα callouts ακομα και αν εσυ ο ιδιος δεν θες να μιλησεις επειδη εισαι τοσο αθωα και τρυφερη ψυχη και φοβασαι μην σου την μπει καποιος αγνωστος στο νετ ειναι μ@λ@κι@ για μενα...ειδικα οταν μπορεις να mutareis αυτον τον 1

για  τον Ramatta λεω. την Kiriko την εχουν δωσει ηδη δωρεαν. οταν τελειωσει η 2η σεζον, πως τον αποκταει καποιος οταν ξεκιναει να παιζει πρωτη φορα το παιχνιδι; στα αλλα παιχνιδια πως ειναι το συστημα;

-Εναλλαξ ανα season θα κανουν release εναν hero που θα ειναι unlockable στο level 55 του BP.
-Γι' αυτους που δεν προλαβαινουν, θα μπορουν να τους αγοραζουν στο shop ή μεσω hero challenges (δεν εχουν πει ακομα λεπτομερειες για το τελευταιο αν και φανταζομαι περιπου ο,τι challenges εχουν οι νεοι παικτες για να ξεκλειδωσουν τους παλιους heroes).

α οκ. οποτε μονο με χρηματα η ατελειωτο grinding, τους αποκταμε. ποσο λετε να τους πουλανε; λογικα πιο ακριβα απο τα σκινς;

εντωμεταξυ το λογικο αλμα που κανει το αρθρο απο το "καποιοι προτιμανε να παιζουν Tracer" στο "σας πουλαμε τους νεους ηρωες",  κανει την επιχειρηματολογια των flat earthers να μοιαζει με διατριβη πανεπιστημιου.

Επειδη βλεπω πολυ κοσμο να παραπονιεται για το rank του...μου συμβαινει παραδοξως το ακριβως αντιθετο,

support: ειμαι hardstuck high gold στο support μου στο ow 1 εδω και μηνες (ειναι το μονο role που δεν με νοιαζει καν το rank μου) και παιζω τωρα comp στο 2 και εχω φτασει plat 1! Απο το πουθενα, χωρις να παιζω καλυτερα, χωρις να tryharardarω περισσοτερο, εχω ανεβει χοντρικα 500sr και "κινδυνευει" το supp μου να γινει (στα χαρτια-γιατι δεν ειμαι με τιποτα τοσο "καλος") το ιδιο καλο με το dps μου
και το dps μου, εχω φτασει απο το να tryhardarω και να ιδρωνω για να παραμεινω στο 3000-3100 στο ow1, στο ow2 με πραγματικη ανεση ομως diamond 3, εχωντας βρει μολις 2-3 games στα οποια να εχω αντιπαλους οι οποιοι ειτε να ξερουν τι κανουν ή να ειναι καλυτεροι μου.
Δεν ξερω αν ημουν τοσο χαζος στο ow1 και βαρουσα τοσο πολυ το 2ο τανκ και αρα εχανα χρονο απο το να τελειωνω γρηγορα τα fights ή αν το matchmaking ειναι τοσο broken και συνανταω συνεχεια νεους παιχτες αλλα πραγματικα μολις φτιαχτει εχω να φαει την ηττα της ζωης μου

lol εβαλαν τη mei μεσα και δεν την εχουν φτιαξει!!

η mei εχει παλι θεμα με τα animations της και τον τοιχο της, νομιζω παλι περνας απο μεσα.
